Double scalpel by Ferguson in case.

A unique medical double scalpel by Ferguson in red Velvet and silk lined Case, Circa 1850. The scalpel was used to cut slices for microscope research. The thickness of the coupes can be set by the set screw and can be fixed by sliding mechanism. Botanical Withering microscope, C 1800.

The Withering botanical cased microscope is dating to about the year 1800, is constructed by brass with a solid stage. Supported by two brass rods are original lens casings at each end.
