A 1920’s cased standard inch by W & T Avery Ltd London, made for the County Borough of Preston. Indenture number: 3861. Portcullis date marks for 1926, 1935, 1946 and 1956. A three draw brass telescope with a mahogany body, signed in flowing script, ‘Dormer, London’. It measures 7.5″ long when closed and 23″ fully open with a main lens of 1.25″. In excellent working order and damage free (no cracks, chips etc). In carboard case (slightly distressed).
