A German horizontal brass Sundial with compass, late 17th early 18th century. Brass scale plate on 3 adjustable feet, with hours marked in Roman numerals. Fixed gnomon with plumb made for a latitude of ca. 49 degrees (Nuremberg). Compass in a reduced around brass box construction with the Latin placeholders: Sept, Ori, Merid and Occid.
