Description

A pair of hand-held WW1 rangefinder binoculars. The front end plates have the etched ‘crows foot’ military marking, the rear plates engraved with a (faded) makers name, ‘Huet, Paris’,and serial number. The barrels have nickel silver plate scales fitted to them. The binoculars are very clear when viewing, with each eye piece having individual focussing; the left eye piece has an additional wheel which converts the item in view into a double image. The double image would be converted with the scales to find the distance of an object, but there are no instructions. The magnification is 7 x.
