Description

A very rare and quite exceptionnal George Demeny’s thoracomètre signed “Otto Lund Paris”.

Otto Lund is very famous in the history of precinema for having build the first Marey’s photographic gun and in the history of Marey’s physiological instruments. Lund was also the favorite manufacturer of George Demeny, a student and collaborator of Marey. Especially they developp together around 1883-1885, some new instrument for the measurement of the thorax and for the lung capacity including this scarce thoracomètre.

Despite some lacks : one rod and 5 small buttons (on 52), the instrument is ine general good condition.

This is a large instrument measuring 38,5x38cm/
