Description

Often described as Civil War (American) folding pocket general surgery set, this one originates/retailed in Sydney but is full of English instruments. Makers include Scott, Maw, Hutchinson and Charriere. A complete assortment of bistouries, scalpels, directors, needles, cautery, vaccination, lancets, razors, scissors, forceps and lithotomy instruments.  All T shell cases are in fine condition with no nibbles to the edges. The black leather pouch has 3 pairs of folding flaps and has only one fault-the upper gilt lock clasp/hasp is missing. Measures 6 x 3 x 1 1/2 inches. The tape was used simply to hold it down.
