Smith, Beck & Beck Universal Microscope.   This microscope is signed:” Smith Beck & Beck London Universal Microscope 5832”.  This serial number places date of manufacturer around 1865-1866. This item has no case or accessories other than what is mounted on the microscope.   The focusing function does not work possibly due to stripped teeth on rack.  The adjustment wheel just turns freely with no corresponding movement of body tube.  The substage plastic disc is in good condition with no cracks.   The microscope and stage swivels left and right smoothly.  Microscope stands 11” (27.9 cm) tall at minimum height.
