Description

Signed John Browning Microscope C. 1870.  Microscope has no case or accessories other than what is on the scope itself.  The microscope is signed “John Browning, London 184”.   The coarse focusing works well.  The double-sided mirrors are in fair condition.  The arm that attaches body tube to pillar swings left and right allowing the body tube to move in aquatic motion (left and right).  The stage is mechanical and moves in the X and Y direction.  The X direction works, but not as smoothly as the Y direction motion.   The microscope does incline but does not always stay at an intermediate position, it wants to swing down vertical or all the way horizontal.  The microscope stands 19” (48.2 cm) at minimum height.
