Description

Signed J&C Robbins Microscope on original wood base.  This microscope has no case or accessories other than what are shown in the images, which includes two objective lenses and tweezers mounted on swivel ball.  Also included is a substage rotating aperture ring.   The silvering on both sides of the mirror is in rough shape.  There is a plaque with “J&C Robbins, 9 Bartholomew Close, London E.C” In addition the number “298” is stamped on top of one of the feet below the ID plate. C 1800’s.  Base is 7 inches x 5.5 inches (17.7 cm x 14 cm).  Height of microscope is 17 inches (43.1 cm) fully extended.
