Description
This is an early model produced by the fine Swiss optical instrument maker, Thury & Amey, bearing the serial number 119 so datable from the late 19th century.
Thury & Amey are, with the Société Génévoise d’instruments de physique et de mécanique, the best Swiss maker of microscopes from the late 19th century and early 20th century.
The present example is an early example with a typical body shape. This is a mid-size example. It preserves two eyepieces with the initiales “T&A” and one Nachet objective number 3.
Everything can be storage in its original walnut case.
A rare signature to find in good condition and from the early production.
The case measure : 16,5×17,5x23cm ; microscope around 32cm height.
