Description
Three draw and constructed in nickel silver with a baleen covered barrel, signed on the first draw, ‘A. Ross, London’ with eye-piece dust slider, lens cap and sun visor. The visor is engraved, ‘Awarded to Gentleman Cadet Edwin W. Sandys for proficiency in Landscape Drawing. 1st Prize Royal M. Academy. December 1855’.
The telescope measures 21″ when fully open and 7.75″ closed with a main lens of just over 1.25″.
Very clear to look through, no dents / chips. Slight loss to the baleen next to the back collar.
With original brown tan leather case (broken strap).
