Description

The simplest and smallest of the telescope levels. Rare miniature model of a Boyelle-Morin level with dioptric collimator.

According to the Morin catalog 1910-1911, page 15:

“This model is the simplest of all the levels; it is the fastest to use.

It consists of a telescope with a dioptric collimator, that is, a double collimator. The horizontal line can therefore be seen from one end of the telescope as well as the other, which allows the instrument to be turned over and read twice.

A level placed below this telescope ensures its horizontal alignment. The whole is adjusted by a very simple system consisting of a return screw and a curved spring. The instrument is mounted on a horizontally moving socket in the center and is placed on an ordinary square stake.”

The instrument is in near new condition, and works perfectly.
