Description
A porcelain phrenology bust and inkwell signed “By F Bridges Phrenologist”. Frederick Bridges, an eminent Victorian phrenologist, published his aptly titled POPULAR MANUAL OF PHRENOLOGY in 1860 and it went through many printings. The inkwell was produced about the same time.It is in very good condition, noting that “By F Bridges Phrenologist” is lightly struck on the plinth. Height 14 cm or 5.5″.
