Description
SOLD – Signed on the foot, ‘Smith & Beck 6, Coleman St, London‘, the microscope has a large stand allowing the instrument to turn 360 degrees, with two large tapering pillars with trunnions supporting the body and draw tube. The microscope has coarse and fine focus wheels and currently holds a Collins objective (included). It has a large circular stage measuring just under 5 inches diameter with thumb wheels for X and Y movement and one which turns the top half of the stage in a circular motion. With sub stage condenser, diaphragm and wheel of light stops in one unit with thumb wheel to adjust the condenser up / down. Large plano / concave mirror on articulated arm with a diameter just over 2.5″. A little loss to the mirror edge on one side. No case. Height 17.5 inched fully racked down. Very Heavy!
