Description

SOLD – This microscope has a single column rising from the stand with a compass joint at the top which has a short limb and holds a brass column. The rack and pinion is fixed to the column under the short limb and an inner sleeve moves upwards from within the column (via the rack and pinion) and adjust body tube. The stage has X Y movement via the thumb wheels and the stage can be manually moved up or down the column by the user. The sub stage can also be moved in the same manner on the column. The main stage has a fixed wheel of light stops.

The case holds stage forceps (6 inches long), three eyepieces of different lengths, a sub stage diaphragm and two objectives in canisters. The larger objective can does not fit the case recess holes. Some rubbing to front of the foot.

The case has a crack to the side and the back and has been re-fitted with a later lock. Case 21 x 11 inches. Height of microscope racked down 17 inches.
