Gold Ore on the Lapel, probably English, 19th century. With an overall length of 1-5/8″ (4 cm), this nine carat (and so stamped) gold brooch has integral pin with hook and attached safety chain. Set centrally is a natural specimen of quartz showing glitters of pure gold throughout. Condition is very fine. An unusual item of “natural” jewelry. |
