Description
Four 19th-century toothkeys ,two of which have clutches that allow the claw to be rotated. The two with ebony handles are likely English; the other two Continental. From the left, handles are: fruit wood, ebony, ebony and horn. The last of these (horn handle) has a stable crack at one end of the handle that is evident in images. The tooth key with two claws and checkered-ebony handle, second from right, has been sold.
