Description
Small J. Forest terrestrial globe with fourteen coloured cartouches of circa 1920. The globe contains a detailed representation of country borders, state boundaries, cities railroads, rivers and telegraphic and navigation lines and cables. The inscription says that this globe was drawn by J. Forest and engraved by A. Soldan. It was for sale at Rue de Buci 17.
The globe arises from its original ebonized turned wooden stand. A mounted metal stem holds the globe in position. The globe can be set free by screwing it loose.
