Description
FLORAL DECORATED SPRING FLEAM, c. early 19th century, stamped “F.D.” outside and engraved “XV” inside. This attractively decorated bleeding device is made of brass with shaped steel blade, spiral cocking spring, and spring-loaded trigger release. Measuring 2-1/4″ (5.7 cm) overall, it is in fine functional condition, noting some surface oxidation to the steel.
