Description

A fine, rarely used 2 inch refracting telescope by Ross of London. W.W. 1 vintage, in it’s oiginal leather carrying sleeve (sans strap), this telescope is so tight that I doubt it was used properly since it’s day of issuance. It took me ages to free up the third draw and even though the end cap enamel has been chipped, it has seen little use ( as seen in photos of the enamelled draws). 30X magnification with superb optics, leather barrel has NO wear. 36 inches extended with ray shade, 12 inches compressed. The leather shoulder case is 12 x 3 inches in diameter. Serial number 77143. A spectacular survivor.
