Description
A fine two inch diameter library refracting telescope on cabriolet folding stand by Dollond & Co. (retailed 1871-1885). Cased with hooks intact, functional lock with key and later trade label. Block letter signature on the end of the barrel (DOLLOND * LONDON). Bruise to the stand (does not detract and can be rotated from view), otherwise pristine. Later trade label has adresses of 1 Ludgate Street and St. Paul’s Church Yard. Case measures 30 x 6 1/2 x 4 inches deep, with old split to the lid.
