Description
A fantastic combination ear scoop and tweezer in bright steel. Hand forged and chisel worked, the detail and workmanship is first rate. Only 7 cm. long, it employs so many levels of skill to make and still be functional after 500 years !! Two pieces of steel, curved, ground and chiseled, brought together to form the strong tweezers and thereby twisted/machined into a barley rope pattern of 2 diameters and styles, terminating in a tiny curved ear scoop. The hours in the forge and on the bench would have been a labour of love. Now housed in a protective nickel steel sleeve with screw on cap. A marvelous survivor of the middle ages. 16th century. Fine and rare.
