Description
A fine Georgian era desk magnifier/map reader in turned, flame mahogany frame. Can be used from both sides. Large format, 4 1/2″ frame, 3″ biconvex lens (original with wavy imperfections, one internal bubble and only minor scratches-see photos). Frame inserts to hold lens are fully intact with no cracks. One old nibble (machining chip) on the external frame. 5-10X magnification. c. 1820.
