Description

A Columbus Lunarium or planetarium us to show the motion and phases of the moon. The globe has a diameter of 12 cm and the following description: Columbus Schülerglobus, Columbusverlag Paul Oestergaard K.G. Berlin- Stuttgart, Massstab 1:100 mill.

These kind of globes were manufactured in the period 1919-1943. Date of this lunarium is around 1940. The brothers Peter and Paul Oestergaard have been producing globes since 1904 and opened a publishing house in 1909. Nowadays the company is led by the fifth generation.
