Description
A fine Charriere-type 3 blades vaginal speculum signed by Capron, datable circa 1840.
The three blades are made in silvered brass, some part of the instrument in iron and the obturator in ebony and steel.
The instrument is complete.
This new speculum was introduced by Charrière in 1837. Examples by Capron are rare.
