Description
Cased Wright & Newton Projection Microscope. This item is C. 1886 and is of the second form. The scope also has some accessories including 3 Objectives with matching brass cases. The Objectives are: 8/10 In, 1 ½ In and 4/10 In. Also, additional Eyepieces are included. The scope stands 13” tall and the case dimensions are 15.5” (39.3 cm) long, 8.75” (22.2 cm) wide and just over 6” (15.2 cm) deep. The red and yellow bands seen on the large round end of the scope are remnants of rubber bands that have not been completely removed. Also of note is a previous owner placed a paper sticker with “OPTIC-2” on the case and the scope. Both can be removed with no damage to their respective surface. On the barrel of the microscope is the signature: “Wright & Newtons Patent
