Cased Stiassnie Microscope with accessories.   This microscope is C. 1900 and has accessories including mica cover slips, glass slides, two marked eyepieces, 3 objective lenses with accompanying cases and 1 empty objective case.   The black objective case is newer and does not match the markings of the objective inside.    That objective is marked Stiassnie Paris1/15.   Microscope is signed on the body tube with:” M. STIASSNIE  204 Bould Raspail PARIS”. There is what appears to be a serial number below the stage on the part of the pillar that folds.  The number is 1372.  Coarse and Fine Focusing work fairly well, although when body tube is close to the stage, it goes to a point and the coarse adjustment wheels just spin with no change in up or down movement of the body tube and you have to use your hand to lift the body tube a small distance until the adjustment wheels engage the teeth on the rack.  There is a rotating nosepiece that has three openings for objectives.   The double-sided mirror is in very good condition.  The Microscope stands 10” (25.4 cm) tall at minimum height.  The case is in very good condition with a key and working lock.   The case dimensions are 9.5 “(24.1 cm) long, 7” (17.7 cm) wide and 5.25” (13.3 cm) deep.
