Description

Cased E. Leitz Wetzlar Microscope.  C 1897 with serial number 42754 on microscope and case No accessories in the case except one additional objective lens mounted in a case.  Objective marked with “2/3 in” and associated case is marked ‘2/3’.   The objective in the case is not marked Zeiss like the microscope mounted one is.    Case and Microscope are Serial numbered 42754.  The S/N are shown in attached images in this listing.  Single sided mirror is in very good condition.   Fine focusing also works.   Coarse focusing works by sliding body tube/objective up and down by hand.   Microscope stands almost 11” (27.9 cm) tall with objective almost touching stage.  Case is in good condition and dimensions are 5.5” (13.9 cm) wide 11.5 “ (29.2 cm) tall and 4.25 “ (10.7 cm) deep.   Inside Lid of case is marked “Clarkson’s Optical Stores 338 High Holborn (Opposite Gray’s Inn Rd), London.  W.C.1”.
