Description

Cased E. Hartnack Stativ IIIA Microscope.  The wood case and leather coated accessory case are both stamped with serial number 10073, which places this at C. 1870.  Accessories include 2 eyepieces, one marked with 5.  The leather covered accessory case has the following accessories:  3 objectives labeled 4,7,8 and two aperture discs. The drawer contains quite a few glass slides.  The plane/concave mirrors are in very good condition.  In the case there is a detached leather pad that would have been glued to the bottom of the microscope base.  The case is in good condition except a structural divider has detached from the inside of the case bottom.  It is not broken, just detached, and can be seen in one of the images.    The microscope stands about 9.75” (24.7 cm) tall at minimum height.   The case dimensions are 11” (27.9 cm) tall, 5.75“ (14.6 cm) wide and 4” (10.1 cm) deep.
