Description

Cased Bausch & Lomb Microscope.  This item is fixed and so does not tilt.  It has a serial number plaque with serial number of 28918.  No accessories other than what is mounted on the microscope, The eyepiece is labeled with the Bausch & Lomb marking, along with the markings of “1/2 Inch Tube Length 160.0 MM.”    Research of Bausch & Lomb catalog places this microscope at C. 1898.  Coarse focusing is very smooth and double-sided mirrors are in great condition.  Case is in good condition except that on the back of the case, a split is happening along the seam where two pieces of wood meet, which is shown in one of the images and a trim piece is missing that runs the width of the bottom of the case, also seen in an image.  Microscope stands 10.5” (26.6 cm) tall at minimum height.  Case dimensions are: 13.75” (35 cm) tall, 7.25” (18.4 cm) deep and 6.75 “(17.1 cm) wide.
