Description
This is a Bailliart opthalmo-dynamometer by Giroux, a type of tonometer widely used in the second quarter of the 20th century for the diagnoses of glaucoma and related ailments. It differs from the standard model in that it includes a stop that permits an easier reading of the measurement taken. We’ve included an image from a 1920s Luer catalog showing this device. Condition: instrument is like new but the exterior case shows some wear.
