Description

A very good c1880 ecrasseur  by Collin working in Paris, c1880. The fittings are ebony and the mechanism works perfectly.  Ecrasseur: “A surgical instrument intended to replace the knife in many operations, the parts operated on being severed by the crushing effect produced by the gradual tightening of a chain to avoid haemorrhage.”. Length without chain: 14″ or 35cm.
