Description
A mid-size drum microscope signed “G. Oberhaeuser / E. Hartnack / Place Dauphine 21 / Paris” and bearing the serial number “3360”, so datable circa 1859-1860, before Hartnach became the successor of Oberhaeuser.
The present example is complet and finely preserved. It has two original objectives, two original eyepieces numbered 2 and 3, its bull-eye and its sub-stage mirror.
Despite a small depression on the eyepiece numbered 2 without no trouble for using it, the condition is fine and the microscope is in working order.
Everything is preserved in its original mahogany case measuring 25,5×12,5x10cm.
