Description

This is an early 19th century Dutch Trepaan set by instrument maker “J. Linden / Rotterdam” . This set is in the original mahogany case, lined with red velvet and hinges of brass. The set consists of a complete set of polished steel instruments with silver frames and polished agate / hardwood handles, the scalpel is of a later date. The hinged lid has a plaque with the text “Instrument Cabinets, Trepanation, Theatrum Anatomicum” and on the inside a manufacturer’s label. Dimensions: 38 x 22 x 8,5cm.
