Description
This silver two-piece locking tongue depressor was made and hallmarked in 1872 by a London silversmith (“HC”) working for the surgical instument maker John Ferguson & Co. It has an unusual locking mechanism that allows it to be disassembled and sheathed for the pocket or bag. Length extended: 6.75″ or 17 cm.
