1797 white metal medal celebrating Admiral Viscount Duncan’s naval victory at Camperdown.
Obverse: uniformed bust of Adam Duncan, 1st Viscount Duncan attributed to Thomas Wyon Senior.
‘LORD VIST DUNCAN OF CAMPERDOWN’ with ‘ADMIRAL OF THE BLUE’ (below).
Reverse: seated figure of Britannia, her arm on a rudder, with lion, shield, flag and crown of laurels.
‘BRITANNIA TRIUMPHANT’ above with ‘DUTCH FLEET DEFEAT, 11 SHIPS TAKEN OCTR 11, 1797’.
