An interesting set of 3 cardboard cases of a selection of Students Anatomical and Pathological Histological microscope slides.
Each case is purpose made and covered in black material, the top of each lid embossed ... "Microscopical Preparations". The interior of each case has numbered wooden divisions to the RHS, holding upto 100 slides. To the LHS are inscribed the descriptions of the labelled slides.
The 3 cases appear to have different owners, and one is dated "Cambridge 1928". Each case now is showing age and wear, with closing catches now either missing, or defective. However, they represent an interesting example of the work carried out by medical students of this period.
Each case measures: 10-7/8" X 7-1/2" X 1-3/8" One case contains 100 slides, general Pathology, one has 87 slides, and one has 80 slides, both mixed Pathology and Anatomy.
