This large, coffee table format, hard cover book is a guide through the wide range of pocket compasses, with colorful illustrations and detailed descriptions throughout. Various types of magnetic compasses are covered, such as escape, wrist, fob compasses, and even sundials to name only a few. 

This unique subject has not been thoroughly represented even though compasses in general have played such a vital role in our history. Compass Chronicles aims to shed some, well deserved, light on these elusive, elegant and very practical instruments.
